This directory contains preformated spartados images for use with sio2pc. I created them because spartados and sio2pc don't seam to communicate very well when formatting huge disk images however once an image is formatted spartados has no problem with the disk. These programs were created using quickie QuickBasic program and I bit tiny bit of fine tuning in a disk editor. Sorry, but I do not wish to distribute the program I used because it is very system dependent and probably will not work on any other machine. The last two charters of the filename indicate the images size in Mega bytes. For example "spartd08.zip" is a zip file of a 8 Mb sio2pc image. All of the disks are DD. These images contain no dos. To install a dos have both a spartados bootable disk and your new disk image loaded at the same time. Change to the drive with the new disk image on it and do a "DIR D?:*.DOS" (? is the bootable spartados disk) to find out what dos versions you have available. Make a note of the dos you wish to install and copy that file to your new image by typing "COPY D?:". The filename should be displayed as it is copying, if its not you mistyped the name. Once that File is copied type "BOOT " to install the dos and give it a try! My email address is kevina@clark.net. If the images appear to be behaving strangly PLEASE let me know. Also let me know if they work perfectly so I know they are ok. EVEN THOUGH THESE ZIP FILES ARE SMALL THEY CONTAIN *HUGE* FILES. DO *NOT* UNZIP THEN ALL AT ONCE UNLESS YOU WISH TO USE UP 136 MB OF DISK SPACE. INSTEAD CHOOSE THE SIZE YOU WANT AND ONLY UNZIP THAT FILE.
